FAS Face is the term used to describe the facial features of an infant, child, teen, young adult, adult, or senior who was born affected by his or her birthmother’s problem drinking. FAS is the short moniker for Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, a horrible disorder for children born with it and anyone who loves them in life, as all suffer.
Children born with FAS may not all show facial distortion features. In addition to a list of growth abnormalities and behavioral problems, those afflicted with the condition tend to present with medically, the more extreme the exposure the more likely a person with FAS is to be born with a look that sets them apart from others. To say so is not a slight. It is a medical condition, and physically measurable.

Then keep in mind… if you are the advocate for a person with FAS, we’re here for you. Parent Abuse is incredibly common with FAS children, noting dads and adoptive parents, siblings, grandparents, and romantic attachments who may or may not have special training are the adult child’s most likely target of abuse.
